Loki’s Lodge is committed to the rehoming and rehabilitation of animals combined with public education on animal welfare. This funding project will allow us to focuses on equine rehabilitation and rehoming.
While the Loki’s Lodge has enough land and feed to provide short term accommodation for up to 20 horses, because these animals often come with health and behaviour issues that need to be corrected before they can be rehomed, our facilities currently only allow us to house 6 horses at any one time. Consequently, we turn away many horses that could be helped.

We are raising money to build 4 three-sided horse shelters and joining yards. These shelters would be used for the rehabilitation of injured and sick horses before they are re-homed. These yards will allow us to work on cementing good social behaviour in our rescued equine and will allow us to control the feed intake of horses who are susceptible to foundering. By providing the horses with additional shelter and care, we can ensure they are in good health and have behaviours that create exceptional companion animals.
